LaVerne M. Kolcum age 86 of Chardon was born on May 21, 1925 in Cleveland and had been a long time resident died September 25, 2011 following a brief illness.LaVerne was a title examiner at Lawyers Title until her retirement. On May 7, 1948 LaVerne married Raymond in Cleveland.LaVerne was a dedicated wife, mother of four boys, grandmother of eight and loving homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had been very involved in athletic boosters and school activities for her boys. She enjoyed mall walking every morning, traveling, and the activities on the Chardon Square. She was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon and had previously been a member of St. Gabriel’s while living in Concord.Survivors include her four Sons, Daniel (Nancy) of Springboro, Jeffrey (Linda) of Spokane, WA, Robert (Mary) of Hambden, and James (Julie) of Chardon; grandchildren; Erin, Shane, Michael, Patrick, Matthew, Stacy, Abby and RyanShe is preceded by her husband, Raymond D. Kolcum, Parents, Oscar and Rose Miller, and brother, Harold MillerMass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10:00AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
