Mr. Mann was very active with Chardon Little League for many years while his sons were young. He also trained and scheduled local umpires for many years.He was an honored member of the Chardon Jaycees, and was given a distinguished service award during that time. He graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland. Mr. Mann was a longstanding member of the Chardon community, and all of his sons graduated from Chardon High School before going on to college. He was a gourmet cook, and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Mann was an excellent bridge player, and enjoyed playing on the internet with opponents from around the world. Before moving to Hiram 6 years ago, Mr. Mann was an active member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon. The joy of his retirement was spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and many friends.Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (nee:McAuley) of Troy Twp., Sons, Richard (Juliet) of Costa Mesa, CA, Robert (Alison) of Powell, OH, Terrance of Aurora, CO, and Jeffrey (Sarah) of Chester Twp., OHGrandchildren; Ryan, Aidan and CaitlinSister: Eileen Silverman of TXMany Nieces and NephewsPreceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Rose (Nee: Gordon) Silverman, Brothers Irv and Barry Silverman; and sisters, Shirley Breitenstein and Cecil Silver.
