I lived in the house across the street from Ken in the 1930's and 40's. Ken and I had a lot of fun in the woods. We did lot of frog hunting and his Mom cooked them for us. Ken was a good friend. God Bless you Ken. Babe

So sorry to hear about Mr Bolek’s passing What a great baseball coach and terrific individual. I have so many memories beginning with little league and the championship we won in 1966. . He taught us respect for the game and discipline. He was so proud of the young men that he coached. Chardon High and NDCL both benefited from his coaching and knowledge of the game. Mr Bolek forgot more baseball than most people know. I remember I had the opportunity to be in Denver for a tournament that he attended. We went that evening to an indians game versus the rockies. I can’t tell you how much i enjoyed that game. I will miss him. I have one regret that i didn’t talk or see him these past few years. God needed a baseball coach. Doug Hogan

Dear Pat, Ken, Lynn Ray, Shelley, My heart goes out to you all. Growing up on South Street, Mr Bolek was Legend!!! As I grew and coached my own boys in Little League,Coach Bolek was on the fence line encouraging coaches and players alike. Yes, he taught baseball like no other but the underpinning he was teaching was how to conduct yourself in life!!! RIP Coach!! Prayers, John Park

My sincere condolences to Mrs Bolek and the rest of the Bolek family. My especially sincerest condolences to Ken Jr. Obviously it goes without saying what a wonderful man can senior was. I have nothing but positive memories of him growing up in Chardon from a point of competing against him in Little League baseball. He had a heart of gold and always would give you the shirt off his back if you needed help. He also was the biggest fan in the world of his son Ken Jr and the rest of his family. God bless you Ken Sr. and may you rest in peace for a job well done.

Dear Pat, Kenny, Lynn and Shelley. We've always enjoyed Ken and his sense of humor. I can close my eyes and hear Ken's laugh. I loved the way Ken said my mother's name - marVELous. May his memory be with you always and bring you joy every day. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Much love, Judy & Joe Bolan

Dear Pat, Ken, Lynn Ray, Shelley, Our deepest sympathies. I cannot express the depth of sadness at Ken's passing. I'm looking at a small handwritten paper Mr. Ken gave to me on what proved to be my last visit earlier in the summer; on it is written how to pitch to a hitter based on his stance in the box. One of the legends has passed. We are so very sorry. Dan Chapman and the Mike Chapman family.
