Kathleen M. Wolfgang, age 88, of Hambden Twp., went home to be with her Lord, December 7, 2012, at the Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Twp. She was born in Ringgold, PA, on October 25, 1924, to the late Charles and Verna (Nee: Mauk) Gahagen. Kathleen was a member of the Hambden Alliance Church and enjoyed baking, cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She married William A. Wolfgang on May 11, 1946, in Porter, PA and was a homemaker. Her life revolved around her family, whom she prayed for everyday. Her loving family include her husband, William; daughters Connie (Louis) Oris of Concord Twp., Susan (Dean) Paullin of Hambden Twp.; sons Wayne (Rita) Wolfgang of Hambden Twp., and Keith (Rhonda) Wolfgang of Concord Twp., grandchildren Michele Oris and Rachele (Jason) Blake, Nicole (Michael) Liotta and Stephen Paullin, Travis Wolfgang, Brooks (Janell) Peyton, Sara and Emily Wolfgang; great grandsons Ashton Blake and Dominic Liotta; 4 sisters Kathryn Barrett, Gladine Smith, Shirley Buzzard, Carolyn McKay; 4 brothers Clark, Lowell, William and Howard Gahagen, and the late Wendell and Erdice GahagenFuneral Services will be Thurs., Dec. 13, at 10 AM at the Hambden Alliance Church, 9892 Old State Rd. (SW corner of Rt. 6 and Old State Rd. Hambden Twp.) Chardon, OH 44024, with Pastor Andrew Boern officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 1-3 and 6-8PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon and from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Hambden Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the church.

A few years ago when I last visited my sister Rita and Wayne Wolfgang in Chardon, Ohio, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Wayne's Mom, Kathleen. She was a wonderful woman, loving wife, caring mother and a great cook ! She was truly one of God's children of the light and spread the Word whenever she could while here with us. The Lord has finally brought her to a rightful seat in paradise, and I am sure she is anxiously awaiting a wonderful heavenly family reunion in the not so distant future.
