JUDITH MARCIA MAY (Nee: VOLLMER)

Age 73, of Hambden Twp., OH, died at home on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born in Cleveland, OH, on November 19, 1947, to Jack Monroe and Edna (Nee: Wehagen) Vollmer Sr. and was a lifelong Chardon area resident. Judy was a graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 1966, attended Kent State University, and married Robert A. May on May 17th in 1969.

Judy was a homemaker. She also was a member of the Board of Education for Chardon Local Schools for 16 years, advocating for strong schools, and was involved in scouting when her boys were involved. Judy was also one of the founding members of St. Luke Episcopal Church, where she has remained active in the life of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert of Hambden Twp.; 2 sons, Chris (Michele) May of Munson Twp. and Scott May of New Albany, OH; 4 grandchildren; mother, Edna (Vollmer) Beharry of Chardon, OH; sister, Jill (Harold) Baker of Mobile, AL; and brother, Jack (Pam) M. Vollmer Jr. of Willoughby, OH
