Joseph J. Thomas, 86, of Chardon Township, died March 21, 2010, at The Dolan Center, Munson Township, after an extended illness.He was born April 1, 1923, in Cleveland, to Joseph and Caroline Thomas.Joe married the love of his life, Martha Morofka, Sept. 20, 1947. Together they resided in Chardon for 46 years, until her death in 2005.He was a lifelong member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.Joe Thomas dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July of 1951. He was a member of the Chardon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.He is survived by his sister, Echo Mary Kormendi of Braselton, Ga.; nephew, Gary Morofka; several nieces; and a large spiritual family.
