Born in Mansfield, OH, October 22, 1928, John W. Brindo Jr. had lived in Wildwood, Florida, for the past 15 years. Prior he had lived in Chardon, OH, for 54 years.He died on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, FLMr. Brindo was the owner of the former Fresh Aire Corp. and Air Cleaning Services in Chardon, OH, retiring in 1986 after 23 years. He married his second wife, Janet Irene Lewis, in Wildwood, Florida on May 11, 2006. He had married his first wife, Margaret E. Kuehn, in Chardon, OH, on December 7, 1950. She preceded in death on June 30, 1993. Mr. Brindo “exaggerated” his birth date so he could enter the US Navy during WWII. He was honorably discharged as a Fireman 1st Class. Many people gathered around his step-ladder when he would announce the Grand Festival Parades from his spot in front of the fire station.He enjoyed organizing the “B&L Tours”, taking family and many friends to fish at his cabin and other fishing camps in Canada.Survivors include his wife, Janet I.
