Private Memorial services for John Robert Wargo Sr., 101, of Chardon will take place at a later date.Mr. Wargo died Nov. 19, 2010.Born Sept. 18, 1909, in Hungary, John had lived in Chardon for the past five years and had previously lived in Mentor since 1958.John worked as a quality control inspector for Addressograph-Multigraph in EuclidHe started there in 1942 and worked until his retirement in 1974.John and his wife, Ethel celebrated their 77th anniversary on November 15th.John was an undefeated Golden Gloves and Ohio State Boxing Champion.He was a very avid gardener, reader, and naturalist. He collected rocks, and shells. John was a Boy Scout Commissioner for Northeast Ohio in the mid ’50s.Family was an important priority and he enjoyed the time spent with them.Survivors are his wife, Ethel (Czako) Wargo of Chardon; sons, John (Janet) Wargo of Chardon and Dr. William Wargo of Alligator Point, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and godson, Janos (Donna) Medgesy.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabor and Julia Varga
