To The Schantz/Cooper Families-From Minnesota we send our belated condolences to you all. We knew Jack's mother, Marie and his family for over 34 yrs and spent some Christmas holidays together, as well as family functions. We will remember Jack as an eternal optimist. Always with a friendly smile and a kind word, spoken or written. Because of logistics, our visits were few, but we alwlays kept in touch each Christmas. Each year Jack would take the time to write a special note in our Christmas card. Through the years, we have saved a few of those cards, that were so special to us. We will miss him and his special cards during the Christmas season. Take Care - Judy, Ann, and family. May God Bless.

Dear JudyJack was one of my true "heroes". He mentored me when he could have just sidestepped me and my family. I owe him a debt of gratitude and love and I only wish I could have told him so in person. Accept it from me if you will, Judy, and let it help you to get through the days ahead. Jack was a truly good man.Jim Lavalley

Jack sent the attached photo to us five years ago - it's a beautiful sight, seen by a great guy and fellow sailor - he took this photo from his boat slip, now vacant. We'll remember him forever.

Jack, Thank you for being a friend, and for the memories. We will all miss you. It seems that sailors are always saying goodbye to those they love, and good friends. Then one day we see a familier smilling face of someone we left behind. Until that day comes my friend, Sail with God. Your sailing buddies, Ralph and Cindy Di Pasquale

Unfurl the sails, and let God steer us where HE will. St Bede---He has steered Jack back to a safe harbor!.To reach the port of heaven we must sail sometimes with the wind & sometimes against it. But we must sail & not drift nor lie at anchor. – Oliver Wendell Holmes GOD speed on your trip to the other port --see you there. God BLess Gene & LouiseThe Lord provides the wind and says what are you gong to do with it,Just as he provides the grace and asks what are you going to do with it.We can’t change the wind but we can adjust our sails.Tis the set of the sail & not the Gail that determines the way we go. When you can’t controle the wind Adjust your sailsThe winds of grace are always blowing – But you have to raise the sails

To the Schantz family, Leigh and I extend our deepest sympathies on Jack's passing. He was a stand up guy, always willing to share and lend a hand to a needy clubmember. The first day I meet Jack he was putting his boat in for the first time and I helped him step the mast. We became fast friends. We'll miss you. Enjoy the winds my friend,Bob and Leigh Weber

The first time I met Jack was during the spring of l979. John and I were newly engaged and just purchased the house next door on Priorway. Our families weren't talking to either of us and Jack came riding up the drive on his bike with a smile on his face. He welcomed us into the neighborhood and into his life. Suddenly we became a member of his family. What a guy. We never looked back. From that point on we spent many holidays together with Jack, Judy and Ann.Jack was a wonderful neighbor and friend. He'll be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Judy, Ann, Marvin, Hannah and CooperI do have wonderful memories of Jack/He often came to visit us when we lived in Philadelphia as little kids. That was when Pete and Marie lived on Chimney Rock Road over in Jersey Jack was about a half a year younger than me but was always bigger and very energetic. We'd play, he , me and Charlie with our toy cars and trucks for hours on end and had loads of fun!I always enjoyed seeing Jack at Punderson. I'll never forget when he and Marie were the "Energizer" bunny during a skitI have other happy memories which I hope to share when we all get together. He was a wonderful person.
