JOHN E. BRINK
Age 83, passed away at his home in Hambden Township on August 19, 2021. He was born on February 26, 1938 in Aultman, PA. He and his wife, Sharon (nee: Hall) married in 1964 and moved to the area in 1968.
John retired from Fisher Body Euclid Plant in 1987 and was a member of Local UAW 1045. From his early years on, John loved his drag cars and was especially fond of his built A-Altered, “The Wild Child” which made may winning passes at Thompson Drag Raceway from 1958 – 1963. He also enjoyed boats, motorcycles, and cars of all kinds. John’s favorite hobby was hunting for “the great deals” at local flea markets and swap meets.
He is survived by Sharon, his wife of 57 years; daughter, Tina Lyn (Ronald) Bender; and his 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Bender, James Bender, Christina Bender, and Carylanne Bender. He was preceded in death by his parents John Albert Brink and Fonda (nee: Lukehart) Hockenberry.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration for John at the Brink Residence on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 2 – 5 pm.
