JOHN DALE LIPLIN
Age 70, of Hambden Twp., died December 7, 2021, at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born September 27, 1951, in Cleveland to John and Elsie (nee: Chaloupka) Liplin and was a lifelong resident of Chardon. John was a 1969 graduate of Chardon High School, he then proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the Navy, he graduated from Hickok Griswold Technical Institute for Electronic Technology. John retired from Ronyak Paving Company after 18 dedicated years. He was a member of Middlefield VFW #9678. John was an avid hunter, marksman and gardener. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Leslie (nee: Maki) Liplin, son Steven (Lori) Kumher of Burton, stepson Steven (Renee’) Thayer of Wadsworth, grandchildren Johnathan and Jillian Kumher and Rachael, Shannon, Stacey and Callie Thayer. He also leaves his siblings James (Susan) and Jeffrey (AnneMarie) Liplin. John is preceded in death by his father and his mother.
Private family service was held. The family suggests donations to the Seidman Cancer Center at UH Geauga Medical Center, 13207 Ravenna Road, Chardon, 44024.
