Jeremy Michael Snyder-Giel, age 34, formerly of Burton, suddenly passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Akron, Ohio. He was born on July 18, 1989, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. He was a graduate of Berkshire High School in Burton and attended the Naval Translation School in California, where he learned to speak fluently in numerous languages. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married the love of his life Charles Giel-Snyder on April 11, 2016, in Akron, Ohio. Jeremy loved music, his dog, Dynasty, and most of all he loved his husband, family, and friends.
He is survived by his husband, Charles Giel-Snyder of Akron, OH; father, Michael (Carrie) Giel of Burton, OH; brothers, Jason Heiden, Bobby (Rachel) Heiden; sister, Jaime Lawson; aunt, Liza (Wayne) Greenway and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother, Susan Miller; grandparents, Fred and Lucy (nee: Smith) Giel; grandfather, Clint Miller, and grandmother, Elizabeth Miller.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024 with the Celebration of Life immediately following at 5:00 p.m.
