Jennie Alice (nee Roush) Bemberg, age 82, of Burton Township, died on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home.
Jennie was born in Columbus, Ohio, on August 18, 1941, to Clarence A. and Faye G. (nee Busenburg) Roush.
She was a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Education and went on to teach elementary school for several years.
She married her husband Frederick Bemberg, in Columbus, on July 7, 1973. They moved to Burton, Ohio where she worked at Trusco Incorporated in office administration for over 30 years.
Married 49 years, Fred, preceded her in death on June 18, 2022.
She was an active member of the Middlefield Historical Society for 40 years. She enjoyed baking cookies for the Middlefield Historical Society’s Christmas Cookie Sale and helping to promote their Holiday Home T0ur.
A “Rotary Ann” volunteer for the Burton-Middlefield Rotary Club and she was often seen making omelets with her husband Fred, during BMR’s Pancake Breakfasts.
She and her husband established the Frederick W. and Jennie Bemberg Endowed Master Clinician in Medical Oncology at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in 2021.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5 :00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Veterans Legacy Woods Freedom Hall, 14085 Ravenna Road, Newbury OH 44065.
