Born in Claridon Twp., OH, on August 17, 1924, Janette was a lifelong Geauga County resident. She died peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Barclay Residence in Hambden Twp., OH. She lived with strengh and determination after suffering a serious stroke in December 2008.Janette had been a dedicated wife, sister, homemaker and friend. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed knitting, cross stitching and crafts. She worked outside her home as bookkeeper for the former Chardon Savings Bank and former Geauga County National Bank. She retired in 1987 after 15 years. Janette Joyce Temple married Arno D. Stapel in Chardon, OH on May 16, 1943, at the Pilgrim Christian Church. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1995. They were a popular Chardon couple. Janette was a member of the Leroy Community Chapel, Leroy Twp., OH, where she taught Sunday School and Summer Bible School.She enjoyed sewing, floral gardening, and playing the organ, and was a proud graduate of the Chardon High School, Class of 1942.Janette also volunteered at the City Mission in Cleveland, OHMost important in her life was the time she enjoyed spending with her family and her friends.Survivors include; 1 Daughter: Mary (Tom) Southards of North Canton, OH3 Sons: Tom A.
