Mrs. Filidoro was a graduate of West High School in Cleveland. She earned an Associate of Science Degree from Tri-C’s second Nursing Academy Class and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cleveland State University. She was a Registered Nurse for the former Mt. Sinai Hospital, Cleveland. Mrs. Filidoro had practiced nursing for over 35 years and held positions of increased responsibility in both nursing and hospital administration. She retired as Director of Medical and Dental services at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She continued part-time nursing as a pediatric nurse in both Clearwater, FL and Grapevine, TX. Survivors include her husband Albert Filidoro, Jr. of Flower Mound, Texas, sons William Rick (Donna) Barson of Chardon, Scott (Keena) Barson of Ft. Myers, FL and Peter (Tiffany) Barson of Arlington Hts., IL; grandchildren Jacob, Maxwell, Nicholas and Mariella; mother Grace (Nee: Puckett) Stacey of Elyria; father William (Renee) Martin of Columbia Station, sister Cheryl (William) Griffiths of Lehigh Acres, FL, Diane (Ken) Purdue of Grove City, brothers Randy (Ericka) Martin of Toledo and Chris (Anna) Martin of Lorain; nieces Tyla Stevens & Gabriella Shah and nephews Mathew Martin and Ian Woods and step daughters Elizabeth Gravitt of Grand Prarie, TX,Jamie (Jason) Kallay of Streetsboro, and Sarah Filidoro of Wickliffe. She also leaves her former husband: Peter Barson of Ft. Myers, FL.
