He was born on August 28, 1933 in Cleveland and had been a life long area resident.Mr. Sloan is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.He is a retired truck driver for Leaseway Transport.Mr. Sloan enjoyed walleye fishing, and playing poker. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.Survivors include his wife, June (nee:Merchant) whom he married on September 25, 1954 in Cleveland. His sons, Brett (Patty) Sloan of Painesville, and Jim (Sue) Sloan of Rock Creek. Grandchildren; Jason (Paula) Sloan, Annie (Mike) Heramb, Thomas Feldkamp, Angela (Rob) Hytree, David (Shelly) Nofziger, and Russell Sloan. Great Grandchildren; Kayla, Emily, Connor, Sydney, Turner, and Riley.He is preceded by his daughter, Kim Feldkamp, brother, Bill Sloan, and sisters, Laura Merrick and Clara Sloan.
