James C. “Jim” Comer
Age 60 of Chardon, died November 29, 2017. Born January 1, 1957 in Willowick to George and Bernice (nee: Majewski) Comer, Jim was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1975 Chardon High School graduate and past president of the Chardon Alumni Association. He graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Marketing and Advertising. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Daisy.

Survivors include his children Kate of Cincinnati, Christopher of Washington, DC, Hallie of Columbus and Janine of Boulder, CO; his father George of Munson Twp., siblings Rosemary Burkey of Mentor and George (Coletta) Comer of AZ. He also leaves the mother of his children, Diane. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:30 on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, concluding with a funeral service at 6:30 PM. The family suggests donations to the charity of your choice, in Jim’s memory.

Was shocked and sadden to see this. My heart goes out to you Diane as well as the kids. Fond memories of Halli and Rebecca playing ball. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Hugs to you in your loss Diane.

It is tough to see another classmate leave us. Our thoughts and prayers are with All of Jim’s family.

I didn't know him personally although I have met him through my brother Jim Burkey married to his sister Rosemary , this is so very sad , so very young my prayers to the family . May you find comfort in remembering the good times , God Bless
