Mr. Arnold was a lifelong farmer in Hambden Twp. where he bred and raised his Red Angus cattle, along with sheep, pigs, horses “hayburners” and chickens. He also sold life insurance for Franklin Life for 35 years, and prior worked for Sealtest Dairy in Mayfield Hts., OHHe married Marian Lampman on October 30, 1945 in Chardon.Mr. Arnold had served on the Hambden Twp. Zoning Board of Appeals.Mr. Arnold was a veteran of US Army during World War II, 1945 – 1947 serving as a Sergeant stationed in Germany. He drove his Jeep, which he named”My Marian”, through the countryside to obtain fresh produce for his unit.He was a member of Pilgrim Christian Church, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He loved to follow his grandchildren’s sporting events in Middlefield, Burton and Chardon. He held the chains for the Chardon Football Team for 40 years at all home games. Mr. Arnold was an avid Cleveland Indians & Browns fan.
