Irene Szorady, 81, a loving wife, mother and homemaker of Chardon, passed away April 27, 2005, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township. Mrs. Szorady was born November 5, 1923 and had lived in South Euclid for 42 years prior to moving to Chardon 6 years ago. She was a 1942 graduate of John Haye High School in Cleveland and a 1947 graduate of Ohio State University, Columbus. On November 4, 1950, Irene Vati married Julius Szorady in Cleveland. Through-out her life, Mrs. Szorady prided herself with taking care of her husband, sons and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Julius, of Chardon; her sons, Julius Jay (Nance) Szorady, Jr. of Burton, James (Marilyn) Szorady of Timberlake, Thomas (Lori) Szorady of Concord Twp., Mark Szorady of Rome, David (Laura) Szorady of Poland; grandchildren, James, Jr., Thomas, Jr., Jayson, Michael, Brynn, Mari-Jaqlyn and Kelly Szorady and step grandchildren Kimberly, Cristi, Jaime and Tommie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Sophie (nee: Toth) Vati and her sister, Eleanor Udvardy. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
