Irene E. (nee: Chapman) Wilmot Wheeler, age 93, of Concord, OH, peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 23, 2023. She was born April 12, 1930, to Clyde and Esther (nee: Cantner) Chapman in Painesville, OH.
Irene worked for Sanborn Plastics for over 27 years retiring in 1992. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making blankets for every great grandchild. Loved reading the Bible, living it, and was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a champion at Upwards, Scrabble, and Dominoes. Most of all she treasured spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, David (Ann) Wilmot of Burton, OH, James (Pamela) Wilmot of Claridon Twp., OH, Donna (James ) Beal of Concord, OH, Dennis (Helen) Wilmot of Aurora, OH and Timothy (Deborah) Wilmot of Claridon Twp.; 14 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren; brother, Don Flynn and sisters, Wanda Gear and Gloria Fuerst.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepmother, Mabel (nee: Freeman) Flynn Chapman, first husband, Kenneth Wilmot, second husband, Kenneth Wheeler, daughter, Jeanette Wilmot, brothers, Jack Chapman, Richard, and Ralph Traucht.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Claridon Center Cemetery.
