Mr. Farrow was a 35 year member of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He was founder of the Herb Farrow and Associates in Burton in 1955. He developed the Lake Louise Community in South Russell and built many fine homes throughout Geauga County and Chagrin Falls area. He was a Real Estate Appraiser for Herb Farrow and Associates for over 45 years retiring in 2001. During World War II, he worked for the former Cleveland Graphite Bronze Co. in Classified War Production materials. Mr. Farrow had been a Milk Man for Moss Farm Dairy and Deans Dairy, serving Geauga County and Gates Mills. Mr. Farrow was an avid baseball fan and crafted early American Furniture for his family. In the 1940’s, Mr. Farrow built his own home by taking books out of the library and teaching himself how to become a builder. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time in Naples, FL.Mr. Farrow will be remembered by his family for his honesty, ethics, courage, generosity and devotion to his wife of 62 years, prior to her death, and his children. Survivors include his daughters Bonnie (Tracy) Jemison of Burton Twp. and Mary Jo Redfern of Troy Twp., sons Robert (Phyllis) Farrow of Mentor and Gerald (Nancy) Farrow of Burton Twp., grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 5. His wifeof 62 years Julia Lucretia “Chris” Shippey Farrow, parents Edwin Lincoln and Anna Mae (nee: Harris) Farrow andbrother Edwin Farrow, II are all deceased.
