Helen D. (Crothers) Osborne, 91, of Chardon, a homemaker, died Jan. 3, 2006, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.Born April 14, 1914, in Clydebank, Scotland, she came to the United States from Scotland in 1948, and moved from Troy Township to Chardon 10 years ago.She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She very much liked to travel, having been all around the world. She was also a volunteer at the Geauga Community Hospital Hobby Cart for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors are her daughters, Margo (Bill) Raimer of Brookpark and Vicki Sever of Chardon; son, Roy (Karen) Osborne of Coventry, Conn.; grandchildren, Laura (Duwayne) Marcum of Brookpark, Beth (Tim) Roth of Middleburg Heights, Kim Raimer of Brookpark, Shane (Sandra) Osborne of Bolton, Conn., Rebecca (Jason Almeida) Osborne of Coventry, Conn., Megan (Matt) Godi of Coventry, Conn., Jeremy and Ryan Sever of Chardon, and Eric Sever of Burke, Va.; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Ian, and Logan Marcum, Billy and Nicole Roth, Tammy, Kasandra and Noel Osborne, Noah Almeida and Mason Godi.Her husband, James C. Osborne, whom she married Dec. 25, 1936, died Jan. 22, 1982. Her parents, Margaret (Sweeney) and James Crothers; and sister, Greta Beckett, are also deceased.The family suggests contributions be made to Mission of Love Foundation, 2054 Hemlock Court, Youngstown 44515, or the Geauga County Humane Society, 12513 Merritt Road, Chardon 44024.Arrangements are being handled by the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Chardon.
