H. Annette (Strong) Medina, 75, born Nov. 21, 1933, in Chardon, died July 13, 2009, in Aliso Viejo, Calif.Annette lived in various cities in Ohio including Chardon, Lake Aquilla, Coshocton and Aurora. She also lived in Mexico City, Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, California, and Virginia. She returned to California and had been there for the past four years.Annette was a dear and generous friend, an avid and creative gardener, and loved to dance. A very skilled horsewoman, she competed internationally for many years. She owned and operated a commercial riding stable in Tennessee, where the family also raised Polled Hereford cattle.She was the adored wife of the late Henry Hank Medina, formerly of Cherry Valley and was also preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Harold Strong of Chardon; and brother, Douglas Strong.Lisa Medina Faleskie (Thomas) of Spotsylvania, Va,, and Andrea Medina Farley (John) of Laguna Niguel, Calif., were honored to call her Mom, and she loved being the grandma of Benjamin Allen Farley; and dearest sister to Nancy Winters, Priscilla Carlson, Richard and Dennis. Survivors also include her dear friends whom she loved, Janet and Lloyd Jones and their children, Gale and Jay Stienon, Pat and Tom Fuller and Dale Koblenzer.Annette was brought home to rest with her beloved Hank and was interred privately at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
