Mr. Martin was an Eagle Scout in Bettendorf, IA. He was active with Habitat for Humanity and served on the Advisory Board for Junior Achievement. He served as an Elder at Christ Presbyterian Church in Chesterland and active in several chapters with Thrivent Financial. Mr. Martin received his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He was very proud of the fact that eight years of his youth were spent in Heidelberg, Germany, while his dad was an executive with John Deere.He was an avid golf fan, enthusiast, collector of golf memorabilia and a golfer. He enjoyed collecting Antiques. Financial Consultant for Thrivent Financial for Lutheran’s, Akron, OH, for 5 years. Previously, Mr. Martin was in Sales and Marketing for Avery Dennison in Painesville and Mac Tac in Stow for a combined total of 21 years. Greg and his wife Pat just celebrated 25 years of ownership of “Antiques on the Square” in Chardon. He is survived by his wife Pat (nee: Caldwell) Martin of Chardon, whom he married August 11, 1978 in Morning Sun, IA, son William Martin of Chardon, mother Donna (nee: Hiland) Martin of Anderson, IN, sister Becky (Larry) Rosenberg of Anderson, IN, brothers Grant (Carol) Martin of Liberty Twp. and David (Rebecca) Martin of Clinton, MI. He was also uncle to several Nieces and Nephews. His father Donald Martin is deceased.
