Gordon E. Metcalfe age, 83 of Espyville Station, PA, died on December 14, 2010. He was born on August 13, 1927 in Cleveland, OH and was a retired Cleveland police officer and had served for 31 years.Gordon was a WWII Marine Corp. Veteran and was a member of the American Legion, Cleveland Police Post, where he served as Post Commander. He was also a member of the F.O.P. He enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling, and traveling.Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dolores (Boltauzer) Metcalfe of Espyville Station, PA and Children; Gordon E. (Sandra) Metcalfe, II of Bluffton, SC, Dale Metcalfe of Rock Creek, OH, Keith (Sally) Metcalfe of North Royalton, OH, Karen (Steve) Speck of Chardon, OH, Grandchildren; Keith Metcalfe, II, Jennifer Metcalfe, Richard Clasen, II, Kristin Deacon, Stephanie Metcalfe, and Steve Moody, and 4 Great Grandchildren, his brother, Victor Metcalfe of Bend, OregonHe is preceded in death by his parents, I. Reay and Mary Eveline Metcalfe, Siblings, Norma Macala, Douglas Metcalfe, and Lois Ann Pruett.A Memorial Srvc will be held at 1:00PM on December 23, 2010 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St Rt. 44, 500feet south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, OH.
