Gloria Ann Stauffer Shiffler, born May 23, 1928, in Brookville, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 6, 2023, in Chardon, Ohio.  Gloria was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, K. William Shiffler, and her siblings Evalou Middaugh, Melvin Stauffer, and William Stauffer.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her five children, Susan (Tom) Enlow of Wayzata, MN, Judd (Pip) Shiffler of Fairport Harbor, OH, Sally (John) Hughes of Upper Arlington, OH, John (Karen) Shiffler of Chardon Twp., OH and Sharon (Scott) Cormiea of Chardon Twp., OH.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Gloria enjoyed golf, Florida winters, watching sports on TV, but mostly, spending time with her family and friends.

She graduated from Otterbein University in 1950 with a degree in elementary education.  She taught at Mayfield schools for several years before starting her family; later she finished her teaching career at Chardon High School.  She was a regular member of the Chardon United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St, Chardon, Ohio on Monday, January 8, 2024.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Otterbein University for the K.
