Mrs. Allyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a graduate of Western Reserve University in Cleveland, with a degree in Education. She is still fondly known to a few as “Miss Goodrich “. Mrs. Allyn was very proud to have taught ALL eight grades in one of Chardon’s last one-room schoolhouses. Her primary focus in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family, friends and her husband’s business associates. She spent many years enjoying her home in Key Largo, Florida, where she and her husband were members of the Ocean Reef Club and the Anglers Club. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Bill) Molzon of Clarkston, MI and son Anderson A. “Spike ” (Lyn) Allyn, Jr. of Chardon, 6 grandchildren Marc, Greg (Kristin) Molzon , Sheryl (Paul) Landau, Duke (Kathy), Aric and Allyson Allyn and 8 great grandchildren Bryce Molzon, Kyra (Mark) Madden , Andy, Gillian Molzon, Brooker Landau, Fisher, Fletcher and Marin Allyn. Her husband Anderson A. Allyn Sr., whom she married July 24, 1937, died May 14, 1999. She was also predeceased by her parents Clyde W. and Bessie (nee: Bickel) Goodrich.
