Georgiana Stuart, beloved sister, cherished daughter and devoted friend died July 13 at the age of 86 in Chardon, Ohio. A long-time resident of Chardon, Miss Stuart was a volunteer with the Historical Society and provided tours of historic buildings in the Burton and Chardon area. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1924, she was the daughter of Georgiana Perry Maharas and James Stuart and the step-daughter of Albert Maharas. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, received an A.S. degree from Cuyahoga Community College and worked as a dietetic assistant in and around the Chardon area. Miss Stuart also worked in the movie picture industry and was the valued bookkeeper for her step-father at Maharas Steak House in Cleveland. A prolific reader, Miss Stuart was interested in history and theology and enjoyed the hobby of spinning wool. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by brother James Maharas (Kandy) of Colorado and sisters Katherine Maharas of Cleveland and Marian Maharas (David) of Colorado; nephew Michael Maharas (Jacqueline) and niece Lynn Maharas.
