My earliest memories of Aunt George are of boiling syrup in her kitchen in Chardon. I always thought my arm was going to fall off but she never let us stop stirring until it was just right. When she attended my wedding several years ago, she was the life of the party and made an impression on everyone. The most poignant memory, though, was when she last left Columbus. Before she left, I arranged a personal tour for her of the Ohio School for the Blind, where Mary Elizabeth attended. She walked the halls with such vivid recall, and lively passion, even after so many years. The light in her eyes was a little brighter that particular day and I am proud to have been able to share that time with her. Aunt George was the impressionist, in the truest sense. She left a mark on many and a piece of her will remain in us all. Love you Gigi

To the family of Mrs. Richards, Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I have very fond memories ofMrs. Richards. I remember her from Pilgram Christian Church. My mother was the choir director and my father sang in the choir. One evening "Gigi " as she liked to be called invited me to her home for dinner. The table setting was lovely and the dinner was wonderful. We both use to wear the same perfume ~ Je Reviens ~ the perfume was made in Paris and we often stated it was "our signature fragrance". Mrs. Richards was a woman of deep faith and a true Christian. She also had a grand sense of humor and a love of life that shall be her legacy. What a dear person and friend. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Blessings, Leslie Leal( Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willian T. Hanna )

"Gigi" as she wanted to be called, played flute duets with me back in the 80's or 90's. She was very active in the Pilgrim Christian Church Choir and Sat. morning prayer group. I enjoyed knowing her very much.

My aunt lived her life out loud. The energy changed when she entered a room - she was fun to be around. Aunt Gee Gee always said what she thought, from correcting your grammar to telling off-color jokes. As kids, we loved her invites out to the Maple Festival. In later years, she spent every holiday with us. She was generous and loving, and bore her losses with dignity and grace. I miss her.

She was Aunt George as I was growing up and then Aunt Gee Gee to my children., but she was always a part of me. Her love, generosity, and strong faith were am inspiration . Throughout my whole life sh was a constant. She was at all of our family holiday celebrations. I know she will continue to be present through our memories, But it feels as if the world has shifted a bit now that she has left it.
