Born in Chardon, OH, on July 29, 1922, Georgiana was a lifelong resident until moving to North Olmsted 6 years ago to be near her family.She died on May 30, 2011, in the Manorcare Health Services in No. Olmsted, OH.She had been the Corporate Secretary and Purchasing Agent for Chardon Metal Products in Chardon, OH, for 33 years, retiring in 1982.Her accomplishments and activities include:Member of Chardon Village Council in 1953 and 1954.Lifelong Member of the Pilgrim Christian Church in Chardon, where she had served as secretary, elder, historian, clerk and sang in the choir.Charter member of the Aquarius Club which raised money for the Chardon pool.Member of the Progress Research Club, American Business Women’s Association, the VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary and the East End Purchasing Agents.Georgiana also had served for many years as the secretary-treasurer of the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce.She enjoyed bowling and travelling.Survivors include her sister, Bethena (Ronald) Gibson of Cleveland, OH; a brother: Elbert W. Shaw of Santa Rosa, CA, and many nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Mary Pauline (Nee: Whitney) Shaw; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Richards; and her sister, Elizabeth Rossbach
