Uncle George you were my favorite uncle. So quick to smile, so caring and thoughtful, always telling a joke. I'll always miss you. I love you, Barbie

The memories of my Uncle George go back as far as I can remember. His son Gregory and I were the same age, and we spent a lot of time together at his house, in Hambden and latter in Perry, and at our grandparents house in Huntsburg.Uncle George seemed to have a perpetual smile and was always fun to be around...unless Greg and I got in trouble, which was rarely ;). I really enjoyed going to their property on Lake Erie, where there was always great things to do and food to eat. When I built my first house, Uncle George built the steps in the entry of the raised ranch. He showed me a piece of wood that he had cut out in the rough shape of a U. He called it a "preacher," because it helped him keep the treads on the "straight and narrow."He was a great man, and will be so very missed by all those who knew him. But I'm sure that no one would call him back from the shores of Heaven, where he is probably out on a boat figuring out how to catch that big one that always seemed to get away back here.My wife Rosemarie and I will continue to pray for our Aunt Bertha and cousins Elaine and Terry and their families, asking God to bring comfort and encouragement during this time of loss.

God was good in giving us "Uncle" George for so many years. It was always a great joy to spend time with him and "Aunt" Bertha at their place or weddings (some funerals, too.) His loving eyes, great smile, and genuinely warm good nature will always be treasured in our hearts. Much love,Jim and Jan Bailey

I never had the honor of meeting Mr. Holowaty in person but definitely learned alot about this amazing man from his son, Terry (Toby)...my supervisor. Toby has shared so many incredible stories about his father...and each time he would speak of him, he would just beam with love and pride! He loved his father/son fishing trips out on Lake Michigan! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of great loss! God bless you all with peace, comfort and strength as only He can give. THANK YOU MR. HOLOWATY for your service to our country!!! RIP!
