Frederick Thomas Apthorp, age 60, a lifelong resident of Chardon, Ohio, passed away on January 7, 2022. He was born September 22, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio to Thomas D. and Shirley (nee: Vogel).

Fred was a 1981 Chardon High School graduate. He had worked at Troy Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing pool, loved music, and playing board games. He was a “Motorhead” and liked anything that had a motor. Fred was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by his siblings, Sherry (Michael) Baron of Tulum, Mexico, Scott of Chardon, James (Kathy) of Surprise, AZ, Elizabeth “Biz” Hagood of Chardon and his Uncle Chuck Vogel of CA. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Terri Apthorp.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 14, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024, with a Memorial Service to begin at 4:00 pm. During the service the family would enjoy you sharing old or new memories of times shared with Fred. The family encourages you wear anything “Cleveland Browns”, in memory of him.
