Frances “Fran” Roby (née: Skebe), age 84, a 15-year resident of Andover, Ohio, formerly of Munson Township, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Corinne Dolan Alzheimer Center, Munson Township, Ohio. She was born March 7, 1923, to the late Charles and Rose (Turk) Skebe. She married George R. Roby on May 1, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death, Nov. 17, 2005. She was a laborer for SwageLok Corp. in Solon for 10 years. Fran was a devoted mother and grandmother, and cherished her time with her family. For 10 years, she was the devoted caregiver of her husband before his death in 2005. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover, Ohio. Mrs. Roby was very interested in researching family history and collecting photos of former generations. She enjoyed traveling following her retirement, loved vegetable gardening and was an avid pinochle player. She is survived by her three daughters, Mindy (Mark) Stevens of Hartsgrove Township, Ohio, Cindy (Keith) Zimmer of Leroy Township, Ohio, and Terry (Terry) Thompson of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Lacey (Andy) Dolsen, Daniel (Kelly Ryan) Stevens, Bonnie (Neil Cunningham) Stevens, Brandon Thompson and Amber Salinas; great-grandchildren, Scott and Taren, and another great-grandchild to arrive any day; sisters, Lucille Kearns of S. Euclid, Ohio, and Sr. Myra Skebe, Sister of Ursuline of Pepper Pike, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Roby; her parents; sisters, Carol Skebe and Helen Merritt; and brothers, Phillip, Carl, Edward and Martin
