Evangeline F. Morel

Evangeline “Eve” MOREL age 86 of Chardon died May 15, 2012 at the Corrine Dolan Center in Munson Twp. Born Oct. 15, 1925 in Cleveland to Frank and Mary (nee:Adamic) Sercelj, she worked as a secretary at Euclid Road Machinery and Forest Park Junior High. Eve enjoyed gardening, reading, and listening to country music and polkas. She was a caring, giving mother and friend who enjoyed people and life. Evangeline Sercelj married Michael J. Morel, the love of her life, on June 2, 1951 in Cleveland. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1990. She is survived by loving daughters Sharon Morel of Athens, OH and Debra (Scott) Boncha of Chardon; grandchildren Melani and Jake Boncha of Chardon; niece Sandy Mershon; nephews Frank Sercelj and Kenny Benedict; special friends Penny, Judy and Buz Bail. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Frank Sercelj and sister Sophie Sercelj. VISITATION: Friday May 18, 2012 from 4-7pm at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
