Ethel Mae (Berg) Hendrickson, 77, of Chardon a homemaker, passed away Sept. 13, 2012, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township. Born March 4, 1935, in Garfield Heights, she had been a lifelong resident of Chardon. Ethel Mae Berg married Richard Hendrickson Dec. 9, 1966, in Thompson Township. Ethel truly enjoyed sewing, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading and doing puzzles. Her greatest joy was her family. Survivors are her husband, Richard Hendrickson of Chardon; daughters, Michelle (John) Kinney of Madison, Cindy Vance of Aquilla Village, Kathleen (Michael) Bruns of Burton and Jennifer (Mark) Ochwat of Cleveland; sons, Patrick (Melinda) Carver of Claridon, Michael Carver of Chardon, and Roger Smith of Cleveland; grandchildren, Bryan, Richard, Heather (Rick) Prayner, Heidi Vance, Miranda and Matthew Carver, Shawn (Jen) and Ryan Kinney; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Leo, Bella, Bryan Jr., Ariela, Adriana, Tiffany, Alex, Josh, Kaitlin, Kayla and Jacob; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Jack) Smith of Chester Township and Virginia Armstrong of Chardon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Aline (nee, Kendall) Berg; and son-in-law, Dan R. Vance. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 fee south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.Pastor George Zehnde of, St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chester Township will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon.
