Elizabeth (Hengst) Timms, 88, of Chardon, died July 8, 2008, at Burton Health Care Center in Burton.She was born May 20, 1920, in Painesville.She had a passion for crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.Mrs. Timms had worked as a trimmer for the Chardon Rubber Company, retiring in 1976, after 36 years of service.Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Ellen Timms of Concord Township; granddaughters, Lisa (Steve) Timms-Rood of Eastlake and Sarah Timms of Columbus; and great-granddaughter, Shannon Rood.Her husband, Arthur Timms, whom she married Nov. 2, 1942, in Covington, Ky., died in 1988. Her sons, Edward and James Jim Timms, are also deceased.Burial was held in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
