Eliza Louise (Markee) Bath,97, of Chardon, a homemaker, died Aug. 24, 2009, at Burton Health Care Center.Born June 15, 1912, in Quebec City, Canada, she had lived in Mentor Headlands before moving to Chardon in 1953.She was a member of the Chardon Christian Fellowship. Her hobbies included stained glass, she wrote Christian poetry and ceramics. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family.Survivors are her daughters, Louise (Harry) Gracyk of Chardon and Emily Bath of Chardon; son, Richard (Lorene) Bath of Windsor Township; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Her husband, Richard Earl Bath, whom she married Oct. 7, 1940, in Cleveland, passed away Jan. 7, 1980. Her parents, Henry and Eliza (Marsh) Markee; brothers, John and Harry Markee; and sisters, Annie Hodgson and Mable Beardsall, are also deceased.Pastor William Bradshaw of Chardon Christian Fellowship will officiate.Burial will be in East Claridon Cemetery.
