Age 85, a current resident of Marco Island, Florida, and a former resident of South Euclid, OH. Mr Hudec had also lived in Cleveland, OH and Long Beach, California. He was a retired professor, having taught mechanical and industrial engineering at Case-Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University. He was a graduate of Case School of Engineering, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and a MA in Industrial Engineering. During WW II, he served in the US Navy, rising to the rank of Lt.JG. Mr. Hudec was an avid yachtsman, owning many boats during his lifetime and enjoying many extended cruises. He and his first wife completed a 5688 mile cruise, traveling down the Ohio River to the Mississippi, through Lake Pontchartrain & the Mississippi Sound around to the West Coast of Florida, through the Caloosahatchee River to the Intercostal waterway and on to Miami and the Bahamas. They then returned to Eastlake, OH via the Intercostal Waterway to the Chesapeake Bay, New York Harbor, and finally the New York Barge canal to Lake Erie. He was a 25 year member of the Chagrin Lagoons Yacht Club in Eastlake, OH.Survivor include his wife,Frances Peggy McElroy Hudec of Marco Island, FL; Sons, Edward J.R.
