Eddie Light, age 62, of Canton, Ga., formerly of Montville, Ohio died Oct. 20, 2009, at Northside Hospital Cherokee, in Canton, Ga. He was born April 29, 1947. Mr. Light retired from General Motors.He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from 1966 until 1968. He was a victim of Agent Orange. He was a member of the Word of Life Church in Canton, Ga.Survivors are his daughters, Sonya Griffith and Tonya L. Light, both of Canton, Ga.; son, Christopher Light of Chardon; grandchildren, Breanna, Brittany, Megan and Matthew Light, and Joshua and Jason Griffith; brothers, Paul Light of Montville, Gary Light of Chardon, Mike Light of Youngstown, and William Light Jr. of Windsor; and friend and angel, Robert Bavis of Canton, Ga.Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (State Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.Services will be 11 a.m. October 30, at Darby-Huey Funeral Home in Canton.
