Dorothy (nee: Richards) POOLE age 78 of Newbury died Oct. 3, 2013 at Briar Hill Care Center in Middlefield. Born Sept. 25, 1935 in Chagrin Falls to Albert and Mary (nee: Pike) Richards, she had been a lifelong area resident. Survivors include her husband James of Newbury; daughter Cindy (Frank) Goldman of Massachusetts; son Thomas (Cindy) of Huntsburg; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Jane (Lee) Koroshes of Burton and Marjorie Tinge of Troy; nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. MEMORIAL GATHERING: 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday Oct. 8, 2013 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. Dorothy was a wonderful sister-in-law. I admired her a great deal. She was a great example and inspiration with skills in baking Christmas cookies that I could never duplicate although I was inspired sometimes to try. She worked at being an equal partner with Jim. She helped him in his projects to make them work even though sometimes when he came up with a new idea, she might sometimes say "geezeee". She had great love and loyalty for all of her family. She was intelligent, strong, and loving. You can not get much better than that.

My sincere condolences and love to all the Poole extended family! I loved Aunt Dorothy, and have so many good memories of her! Hugs to all of you!
