Dorothy L.(Svoboda) Gigliotti, 84, of Chardon, died Aug. 7, 2006, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.Born April 27, 1922, in Cleveland, she lived in Cleveland before moving to Chardon in 1947.She cherished spending time with her family. She would do anything her grandchildren wanted to do. She also enjoyed scrap booking and decorating for the holidays. She would entertain the kids at Halloween with cider and donuts after they went around the neighborhood. She was always willing to help anyone and enjoyed spending time and talking to people.Mrs. Gigliotti worked as a health care aide and activities director for Chardon Healthcare Center in Chardon for 15 years. She also worked in the cafeteria for the Chardon Local Schools for many years.Survivors are her daughters, Karen (Jack) Washington of Hambden Township, Diane (Doug) Collins of San Bernardino, Calif., and Dorothy (Kurt) Hoffacker of Hambden Township; sons, Richard Gigliotti of Chardon and Vincent (Kathy) Gigliotti of Hambden Township; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves three expected great-grandchildren.Her husband, Vincent Gigliotti, whom she married June 28, 1941, in Cleveland, died May 27, 1982. Her parents, William and Helen (Texler) Svoboda; and brothers, Richard and William Svoboda, are also deceased.
