He and his brother Owned and Operated Teague Gravel in Newbury Twp. for 35 years before his retirement 2 years ago. He was a local developer of the Lamplighter Court Apartments, Country River Lane, Clover Lake Drive, Oak Tree Trail, Dora and Neal Drives and Teague Plaza, all In Newbury Twp. He was a Veteran of the US Army during The Korean War. Mr. Teague was dedicated to the Newbury Township community and was very active in it’s growth and improvement. He served on the Newbury Board of Education for 4 years. He was an active lifelong member of the Newbury United Community Church, serving in many offices, including Trustee and Moderator. Mr. Teague had a passion for life. He loved to travel with his daughters and had a knack for meeting the local people and really learning about their culture. He would find small towns to learn the true way of life. He had an adventurous spirit and could not tolerate being bored. He had a fine taste for people, food and drink. He would rent a car, and travel the countryside. When he was not traveling, he was planning the next trip. Mr. Teague was a true farmer. He always felt if you could plant and grow things, you could live and survive. As he worked his land and farm, he nurtured and put back double what it gave him. He did this for his family as well as countless others who he was compelled to share with, so they could learn and appreciate the land, and what it could give to all. His family was the most important thing in his life. He was blessed that his children worked with him and learned from him and his values. Work hard, be honest and treat people fair. Mr. Teague was a very compassionate person, and he wanted others to think of him that way. He is survived by his daughters Cynthia D. Teague, Valerie (Allen) Garland and Tamara J. Teague all of of Newbury Twp.; grandchildren Mary, David, Jr., Lauren and Carly Sayre; Allen and Jessica Garland and great grandson Aidan Donald Sayre,sister Shirley Phile of Boca Raton, FL, Priscilla Rumplik of Aurora, and brother Eugene Teague of Newbury Twp. He was predeceased by his parents Neal and Dora (nee: Fisk) Teague and sister Goldie Teichman. Donations are suggested to the Newbury United Community Church, 14916 Auburn Road, Newbury, OH 44065.
