Don W. Knife, 79 of Aquilla Village, OH passed away at Briar Hill Health Care Residence, Middlefield, OHBorn August 26, 1928 in Tipp City, OH; he lived in Alliance, OH before moving to Aquilla Village 40 years ago.Mr. Knife was an Accountant for Hillcrest Hospital, in charge of their Investment Portfolio. He previously worked in accounting for Geauga Hospital, and Alliance City Hospital. He served in the 101st Airborne of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He also served on the Aquilla Village Council and was instrumental in the building of Murray Manor Senior Housing in Chardon.He was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a degree in Accounting.Mr. Knife was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, having served as their Treasurer for many years. He enjoyed Square Dancing, camping and traveling Ohio and the surrounding states. He was formerly a member of the Chardon Rotary Club.Survivors are his wife of over 40 years Mildred (Hardy) Knife whom he married in Tipp City, daughters Dawne Ann (Keith) Monroe of Portsmouth, Colleen (Wayne) Goebelt of Aquilla Village, sonsMichael (Beverly) Knife of Alliance and Kevin (Erin) Knife of Aquilla Village. He was the grandfather of 14, great grandfather of 12. He also leaves his brother Richard (Janet) Knife of Tipp City. He is preceded in death by his daughter Lynn Hejduk and Parents Orville and Mary (Harshman) Knife.Pastor David Ray of the Faith Baptist Church, Newbury, OH will officiate services. Burial will be at the Claridon Center Cemetery, Claridon Twp., OH
