Dolores Baka (nee: Lascoe), age 81, of Painesville Twp., previously of Chardon, peacefully passed away at home on May 17, 2022. Dolores was born in June, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Francis Lascoe and Gertrude Braun (nee: Koenig). She worked at Huntington Bank for 25 years and also worked at the Geauga Family YMCA for ten years.
She is survived by her husband James “Jim” Baka of Painesville Twp.; children James “Jim” (Kim) Baka of Chardon, David Baka of Huntersville, N.C. and Sheri Ross of Cornelius, N.C.; brother Philip (Joyce) Lascoe of Louisville, KY; sister Sue (Rick) of Henderson, N.V.; grandchildren Sarah, Nicole, Jimmy, Tyler, Aubrey, and Landon; great grandchildren Charlotte, Annaleigh, Jackson and soon to be #4 in October 2022.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother Frank, sister Sandra and granddaughter Natalie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH 44024. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
