Diane M. (nee: Laughlin) Clark age 56 of Chardon, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital. She was born on July 8, 1954 in Rochester, PA. Diane was a business office manager for Chardon Healthcare for 22 years. She married Mitch Clark on October 23, 1988 in Chesterland. She loved shopping with her mother and sisters, decorating, traveling with family, and recreational gaming. She also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandsons.Survivors include her husband, Mitch Clark of Chardon; Sons, Shawn Nelson of Painesville, and Jason Nelson of Claridon Twp.; Grandsons, Justin and Aiden Nelson; Mother, Billie J. Laughlin; Sisters, Debbie (Ken) Mack of Chesterland, and Denise (Tom) Helm of Illinois; and her nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph LaughlinPrivate family services were held.Memorial contributions suggested to The American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd # 260 Cleveland, OH 44131-2341

My mother (Evelyn Dini) has been a resident at Chardon Healthcare for 6+ years and Diane had always helped me during the time I had to have a review with my mom's medicaid caseworker. This year the review was in early December and Diane was very helpful to me, as always, even though she must have been quite ill at the time. My mother and I were very surprised and saddened to hear of her death. She was a dedicated worker and her presence will surely be missed. I was so saddened to read of Diane's passing, Many, many, years ago, I also spent more time at "The Nelson's" then at my own home and Diane and Mitch were always so kind to me. My heartfelt sympathies to Mitch, Shawn and Jason for your loss. I hope that her passing was peaceful and my prayers and thoughts are with you all.

The grief that is felt when we lose a loved one may seem unbearable. At such times, we can go to God's word for comfort. God too feels hurt when an individual dies. That is why the encouragement found at Revelation 21:4 assure us that "He will remove sorrow and death will be no more." According to this scripture, there will come a time when those we have lost to death will be brought back by means of a resurrection by the Almighty God. May the family find the comfort that God makes available to all persons.

I worked at Chardon Healthcare with Diane. She was a wonderful person to work with. She always had a great sense of humor and made work days easier to get through, even the bad ones. I'm sorry to hear about her passing. But I know she left a great footprint on the hearts of everyone at Chardon. My sympathy goes out to her family.
