Diane L. (nee: Primeau) Clark

September 5, 1956 - August 30, 2010

Diane L. (Primeau) Clark, 53, of Chardon, passed away Aug. 30, 2010, at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland.Born Sept. 5, 1956, in East Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland before moving to Chardon 27 years ago.Mrs. Clark was the head cashier at the Chardon Home Depot for four years. Previously, she worked for 10 years as assistant manager for Prizm Art Supply in Munson before it moved to Mayfield Heights.Diane L. Primeau married Rory D. Clark Sept. 11, 1976, in South Euclid. Diane was an avid knitter and enjoyed all crafts. She also enjoyed gardening and going to garage sales. She was a die hard Cleveland sports fan. First and foremost were her children, husband and extended family. She attended all of her son’s activities and games and enjoyed being a room mother when they were in elementary school.Survivors are her husband, Rory D. Clark of Chardon; sons, Patrick R. Clark of Mayfield Heights, Daniel J. Clark of Lyndhurst, and Christian B. Clark of Chardon; and brothers, Douglas (Lynette) Primeau of Michigan and Ronald (Anita) Primeau of Ohio.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jeanne (nee Holsing) Primeau.Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. The Rev. Gaston, retired will officiate.Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held.

Diane and I were good friends back when we worked together at Higbee's department store restaurant at Severance. We had lots of fun together and I remember her fondly. She was a good and loyal friend. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

Diane was a sweet lady who will be sorely missed. She had been such a testament of strength and positiveness during her struggle this summer. Never thought this would happen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. She always wore a smile - was a bright flower as much as the flowers she so lovingly attended in her gardens.

Mrs. Clark was an amazing woman. I remember when I had moved across the street into my first apartment she was so welcoming and let me know if there was anything I needed I could always come over. I loved always stopping by and seeing her Halloween decorations and made it a tradition to stop by with my son every halloween for the last four years. It was always the best house to see. She was an amazing mother and raised three of the greatest men I have ever known. I am so blessed to have known her and will deeply miss her. Ted and I are deeply saddened to hear of your loss of Diane. We will always remember her as a loving, devoted mom to her 'boys'. Please know that our entire family has all of you in our thoughts and hearts. She was a delightful person, we'll miss her. God Bless you and keep you.

Diane was a friend to all. she was the type of person that you liked from the moment you met. Our family has so many memories of Diane, Rory and the boys from the early years... To the Clarks, Our hearts have been heavy this week trying to understand such a loss and thinking of your pain. I did not ever have the chance to meet her, but Ray has told me so much about her and he loved her very much. Please know we are here for whatever you may need, not just this week, but anytime in the future. Hang in there, and know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I went to punderson state park with Diane and the kids to swim. We had a great time. She was such a good mom. When I had my son she would give me tips on motherhood, etc,, God Bless her!!
