Delores J. (nee Becca) Piwarski, 77, of Novelty, passed away Nov. 18, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born Jan. 8, 1933, in Warren, she had lived in Hambden Township for more than 40 years before moving to Novelty. Mrs. Piwarski was a nurse’s aide at the Geauga Community Hospital, now UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1996. Delores J. Becca married Alvin Piwarski April 3, 1951, in Warren. He preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1988. Mrs. Piwarski enjoyed crafting and attending craft shows. She also was an avid “Bingo” player, and also enjoyed gardening and shopping at Sam’s Club, but she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors are her daughters, Kathy Jameson of Loganville, Ga., and Darlene (Mike) Konicek of Grayson, Ga.; sons, Gary Piwarski of Hambden Township, David (Dorian) Piwarski of Arizona, and Daniel Piwarski of Novelty; grandchildren, David (Jackie), Mike and Charles Jameson, Donny and Denise Bertleff, Patricia and Heather Piwarski, Ronald and Shawn Piwarski and Lisa Piwarski; great Grandchildren: Nichole (Richard) Heffern and Lilly Van Driest and Tyler Bertleff, Kayla and Jessica Mallavey; great-great-grandchildren, Amir and Nya; and her faithful companion, Bella Roo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Piwarski; and parents, George and Stella (nee Wesolowski) Becca. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
