Born March 26, 1947, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Mr. Burgett has been a Thompson Twp. Resident since 1982. Prior he lived in Chardon, OHHe died at University Hospital in Cleveland, OHDanny was a bricklayer and had been a Superintendent for Snavely for 27 years. He also had worked with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) Local 5, in Cleveland, OH. He retired in November of 2008 after 38 years.He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army, a Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Artillery.Danny was a history buff. He attended and studied history at Morehead State University in Morehead, KYHe was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, locally, throughout Pennsylvania, and in Colorado.Among his many accomplishments, his greatest sense of pride came from his daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching them about nature, construction and life through his many stories and projects.He will be fondly remembered for saying “you have to start everything in life with a strong foundation, without it, whatever you build will crumble.”Over the last 27 years, he also took great pride in restoring his homestead in Thompson Twp. Survivors include his Wife: Sherri (Nee: Tagg)of Thompson Twp., OH, whom he married in Lander, PA, on March 20, 1993;Daughters: Brooke Burgett of Painesville Twp., OH and Danelle (Eric) Ash of Chardon, OH;3 Grandchildren: Evan (5), Olivia (3) and Alexander (1) Ash;A host of cousins, inlaws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.His parents Ralph “Red” and Gwendolyn (Nee: Gleeten) Burgett are deceased
