Constance “Connie” Marie Wells, age 85, of East Claridon, died Oct. 8, 2010, at home.Connie was born in Cleveland July 3, 1925, to Morty and Sarah Adams.She was a graduate of Shaw High School and worked for many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Raymond Bodley in Chardon.As a child and teen, Connie spent several weeks each summer visiting her aunt and uncle in East Claridon. It was here that she fell in love with country living and her beloved “Stub” (Stanley), whom she married in 1945.Connie will best be remembered for her zest for life. She was always ready for a party and loved to cook and entertain. Saturday nights dancing at Painesville Park were among some of her fondest memories. She loved to garden and ride on her tractor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.She is survived by her husband, Stanley “Stub”; daughter, Bonnie (Gary) Fish of Burton; son, John (Liz) of Burlington, N.C.; grandsons, Brian (Denise) Fish of Middlefield, Jeffrey (Jen) Fish of Parkman and Matthew (Jen) Wells of Whisett, N.C.; granddaughter, Erin (Jay) Wells-Early of Charlotte, N.C.; and great-grandsons, Zachary and Alexander Fish and Levi Wells.In accordance with their wishes, there will be a private family service.The family would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Geauga Hospital, Blossom Hill, and Hospice of Care Corp. for their kindness, compassion, and support. “To cherished friends and family who sent cards, food, prayers, and well wishes, thank you for your love and for making hers a wonderful life.”Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Care Corp., 831 South St., Chardon, OH 44024.Arrangements by The Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service.Information and on-line condolences at www.burrservice.com.
