Charles D. “Chuck” Loraine, 59 of Wickliffe died at his private residence in Newbury . He was a life long area resident. He was a Teacher at Ohio Technical College in Cleveland since 2004 and a Notary Public for Resource Title Agency Inc., in Independence. He had previously worked at Newbury Industries, and as a loan officer in the mortgage lending industry. He graduated from West Geauga High School in 1968 and then went on to Ashland University where he received his bachelors in business administration and worked on his master’s degree at Miami University.He was a member of Phi Delta Theta and worked as a Chapter Representative at their National Headquarters in Oxford, OH. He was also a member of the Golden Gate Lodge # 245, F.&A.M. in Chagrin Falls. He coached for the Wickliffe Baseball League and was an active member of Wickliffe Boy Scout Troop 289.Chuck was an avid golfer and received numerous awards. He enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed watching and playing sports. He was a huge Ohio State sports fan.He will be remembered for always lending a helping hand and for always putting others first.Survivors are his Fiance, Maryllis and her son, Logan Scarso of Wickliffe; Mother, June Loraine of NewburySister, Mary Ann (Jerry) Hudak of Newbury; Children: Charlie (Fiance Jessica Gillan) of Newbury, Kristin (Chris) Moore of Gratis, OH, Brandon (Kathy) Loraine of Newbury, Christian Dorsey of Chicago, IL, Erin (Richard) Figer of Broadview Hts., Brandon Dorsey of PittsburghSoon to be a new grandfather of Madison Moore and Grandfather of Giovanna FigerNumerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Loraine and his sister, Susan Tonnesen.Private family burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Twp.
