Charles “Chuck” Thomas, 75, passed early Oct. 17, 2010.Chuck was a resident of Chardon for the past 70 years of his wonderful life.He was born Aug. 12, 1935, in Windsor. He was the son of Leland and Evelyn Thomas and survived by brother, Gerald Thomas.Charles M. Thomas married his everlasting love, Helen Mansfield, June 18, 1960, at the Chardon United Methodist Church.Chuck was an enthusiastic electrician and dedicated member of IBEW 673 for 50 years. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a passionate gardener. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports.Mr. Thomas was a member of the Aerie Eagles 2261 in Chardon V.F.W. Post Auxiliary 6519, American Legion Post 0167 and Village Lodge 0274, F. & A.M. Charles is survived by wife, Helen; children, David, Bret and Gary (Patricia); grandchildren, Aaron (April), Chad, Lee, Nathan, Emily, Kailee, Madeline, Daniel and Dylan; and great-granddaughter, Mia.The service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.Pastor Dan Drew from Chardon United Methodist Church will officiate.Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Private family burial will be held at Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon.In lieu of flowers, contributions, and/or donations can be made to the American Heart Association , Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O.
